Susie Steiner was born on June 27, 1971, was a popular British writer and journalist. As a journalist and author for the newspaper “The Guardian,” she is well known.

Over the course of her long career as a journalist and writer, she has penned many different thrillers, novels, and memoirs. Susie inspired many women, but sadly, she died on July 2, 2022.

The book tells the story of DI Marnie Rome and DS Adrian Miles investigating the disappearance of teenager Alice Webster near Bristol in 2002.

After graduating from University with a degree in English Literature, Susie began working on local newspapers before finding a job at The Independent. Here she stayed for nearly fifteen years, covering high-profile cases such as Madeleine McCann’s disappearance and bringing attention to topics such as domestic violence.
